Little Professors Learning Center takes pride in producing six well-trained and competent Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT).
RBT is an international certification given by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) of the United States, the leader in behavior analyst certification for over two decades. The BACB is a nonprofit corporation that was established in 1998 to meet professional certification needs identified by behavior analysts, governments, and consumers of behavior-analytic services (BACB Website, 2021).
The Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®) is a paraprofessional certification in behavior analysis. RBTs assist in delivering behavior analysis services and practice under the direction and close supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) who are responsible for all work RBTs perform.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific approach to understanding human behavior which focuses on how behaviors change, or are affected by the environment, as well as how learning takes place. The ultimate goal of ABA is to establish and enhance socially important behaviors. Such behaviors can include academic, social, communication, and daily living skills; essentially, any skill that will enhance the independence and/or quality of life for the individual.
